About us

How can we live happily in an earth friendly way? How can I be a part of the sustainability movement?

This is how ecowrap Byron Bay started.

If we can reduce the use of disposable plastic food wrap, even only a bit, that can be our first step toward earth friendly action.

Our life is full of useful, easy and convenient products. I used to throw away plastic food wraps after using once only, many times a day.

For a while, I used to wonder ‘Is it ok to add more rubbish in the world?’…

When you throw a little pebble into a calm pond, the ripples gradually expand. I hope ecowrap Byron Bay will be a little peddle sending out earth-friendly ripples.

Our society is starting to focus more on sustainable living, realizing the real intangible value of nature, rather than just exploiting it to feed our ever-growing disposable consumer economy.

From hand to hand, from mouth to mouth, through the connection between people, the concept of kindness to the earth is slowly but surely being passed on. We believe that treating our mother earth with respect is the first step towards a positive sustainable future.

ecowrap  Byron Bay is creating the kindness and love toward the mother nature based on this concept.

ecowraps are reusable food wraps made with all natural ingredients which are environmentally friendly. We use three kinds of materials: 100% cotton, a hemp and cotton blend and plant-based dyes. We coat each material with all natural ingredients, such as beeswax from Byron Bay, organic jojoba oil, organic extra virgin coconut oil, and natural tree resin. Each ecowrap is made by hand with love. It can be used with confidence in your home even with small children.

ecowraps are a fantastic alternative to traditional disposable plastic food wrap as it prevents food from drying out and keeps it fresher for longer. This is because the natural preservative effects of the ingredients in ecowraps, such as bees wax, jojoba oil and coconut oil are superior to plastic.
